Ladybug Medicine 🐞
I have a sweet story to share with you today about some ladybug medicine
Back in October, I found a small mass on my dog, Bo's gums.
Our vet care team immediately scheduled him for surgery to remove it and sent it off for a biopsy. Those days waiting for the results were really scary and ungrounding.
Nothing was in my control (it rarely is right?) All I could do was harness my energy and direct it toward loving up on him.
The day after his surgery, something curious happened.
I was just resting on my bed, and this brief flash of imagery came to my mind's eye.
A glowing triangle. And a ladybug weaving in and out, dancing through the triangle. Then it was gone.
And I thought hmm. That was interesting. And didn't pay much else attention to it.
Until the next day...
I was walking my dogs through my neighborhood. And I looked down and saw a ladybug just riding along on Bo - sitting on his left cheek - the same area where the mass was
My jaw dropped. First there's a connection with the random ladybug vision I had just had, and also the lady bug is on the same spot where the mass was?!
I felt an immediate opening to something miraculous. To divine support. Like the ladybug was a fairy godmother letting us know we were being watched over.
Though I knew in my body that this was some special symbolism, I looked up the spiritual significance of the ladybug to learn more about this interesting connection.
I found that ladybugs are known to represent good luck, protection, healing and love.
Wow. What a gift.
Later in the week, I found out my baby did have cancer after all. It was heartbreaking news. And yet, the experience with the ladybug reassured me, anchored me to hope.
The next few months were filled with oncology appointments, radiation therapy, and lots of prayer and snuggles.
Right before the end of the year, Bo finished his treatment. He seemed mostly unphased through it all. His happy self.
Just a few days ago I took him in for a follow up appointment. The report came back beautiful. He's healed. He's doing amazing.
Afterward we went to the park to celebrate.
And ya'll, I kid you not, a ladybug once again planted itself on Bo's head.
How magically full circle.
This whole experience opened me up to something larger, a larger network of support.
It opened me up to unexplainable divine connection and possibility...during a time where I really needed it.
And I hope that this story offers you something of the same.
Whatever you're going through, I hope that you can find pockets of possibility, doors of divinity, and openness to a support system that is bigger than words, bigger than our comprehension, bigger than logic.
May we open up to and receive the divine support that is always around us and within us.
I'm sending you so much care.
